ASUS Padfone delayed because Ice Cream Sandwich
Remember the ASUS Padfone which was announced officially in May? Since there was no evidence or new device – until now. Alex Sun, the head of the Personal Mobile Device department of ASUS, said the hybrid Padfone ASUS Android 4.0 will come with Ice Cream Sandwich, hence the delay in phone / tablet. Ice Cream Sandwich is the version of Android that would solve the problems of fragmentation, which would also be the OS running on the tablets and smartphones – which is very important in the case of Padfone because it is a tablet / smartphone hybrid.
If so, it looks like it will be long, because according to previous reports on Ice Cream Sandwich (if it proved true) – it is far from over. This means that the device could be delayed until next year. Hopefully by then, the hardware will not be exceeded.
