HTC Edge : The First Quad Core Smartphone?
HTC Edge – Although they are more numerous, the dual-core smartphone have still not really democratized.
Worse, some major manufacturers like Sony Ericsson does not even have such models in their catalog now.
However, according to an indiscretion pocketnow site, it seems that HTC plan seriously on a smartphone with a chipset NVidia Tegra 3.
Its code name is for the time HTC Edge, and it is certainly one of the first smartphones, if not the first to have the chipset to five processors NVidia!
Remember, this chipset has four cores running at up to 1.5 GHz each, and a heart companion who is responsible for less demanding tasks to enhance autonomy.
Given the ultra high-end positioning of the beast, it is clear that HTC Edge would come out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, the presence of sensitive keys on the front is a source of confusion.
Other technical features are equally attractive supposed to:
• A screen of 4.7 inches, has a 720p HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels)
• A Tegra chipset pentacore 3 (quad core + a companion)
• An 8-megapixel photo sensor, backlit, 28 mm and with an opening at f2, 2
• Bluetooth 4.0
• An internal memory of 32 GB
• Headphones or intra Beats Audio
It’s a safe bet that HTC will benefit from the CES in Las Vegas, or the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to present this smartphone specifications rather monstrous. – HTC Edge
