Viber Available on Android: VoIP Free without Registration
Viber is well known to those with an iPhone. Free app allows you to make free VoIP calls to iPhone. Now is available for Android.
Viber requires no registration unlike Skype. Just launch it and it uses your contact list. Calls and SMS can be sent via the VoIP network via 3G or WiFi.
Already available in private beta, the Android version has some more features. It is thus possible to keep the default interface numbering Viber for all your calls. You will also be notified with a popup window when a message arrives, it also allows you to respond directly without launching Viber.
This is good news both for users of Android phones of course but also for those with an iPhone. Because it enhances the number of people you can call from an iPhone or an Android smartphone.
Hopefully the developers will think also Viber users to WP7, Bada (many in France), Symbian (unlikely) but webOS.
